Hi KE Families,
It is heartbreaking to see what is happening in our country right now. We hope that you and your families are safe and managing to remain hopeful despite the challenging and desperate times we are in. We remain confident that love and humanity will win over hate.
Just over a week ago, we made the difficult decision to cancel camp for the summer. With the guidance from city health and government officials, we know that making this sacrifice will ultimately keep our kids, families, and city safer. It feels strange that after six great summers, we will not be able to offer camp; however, we will continue to do all we can to be helpful to KE kids and families.
Please take a look at our summer 2020 updates below!
FREE Videos and Training Sessions
Although we will not have in-person camp this summer, we want to support our KE kids and families! We will offer FREE online content from June 22nd through July 31st. Each week you can expect:
- Videos with fun, active games and ideas for kids to play
- Videos that teach specific sports skills for kids to practice
- Ideas to involve the whole family that promote exercise and active fun
- Live training sessions (via Zoom or YouTube) for skill development and strength/conditioning, modified for targeted age groups
100% Credit for Summer 2021
If you registered for camp for this summer, your account will automatically be credited for the 2021 summer. We are hoping that as many families as possible will take advantage of the credit for 2021 option. However, if you need to request a refund for this summer, we understand and will do our best to expedite your request. Please visit our website to complete the refund request form.
Look for more updates in the coming weeks! Until then, please stay safe and continue to stay active and have fun with your kids and with your entire family!
Coach D & the KE Team
Hi, Kids Elite families!
We hope you are safe and doing your best to hang in there during this time. Today the Mayor provided city-wide updates that impact Kids Elite. Please take a few minutes to read these important updates regarding our summer programs:
- Because the city will likely remain in Phase 1 (according to DC’s reopening plan), we will not operate in-person camps this summer.
We will provide free online content to help you and your children remain active and healthy.
If DC moves to Phase 2, we will explore modified in-person camp options, based on the guidance given by city health and government officials.
We understand how challenging the past couple of months have been, and we could have never imagined that we would not be able to gather together for fun-filled, exciting camp days over the summer. Together, we will all get through this. Families, businesses, schools, and our entire community have been hit hard. Let’s do all we can to support one another as we continue to stay strong, stay healthy, and stay hopeful!
For those that have already paid for camp this summer, we humbly ask that you allow us to credit your account for the 2021 camp season. We also ask you to continue to support our long-time camp sponsors in the Tenleytown/Chevy Chase community—Robek’s, Angelico’s, I’m Eddie Cano, and Chick-fil-a.
If for some reason, you cannot opt to transfer your camp registration for this summer to next summer, we will share steps for full refunds beginning June 1st as we truly understand the financial strain that many families are experiencing.
Thank you for your continued support. Stay safe and stay active!
If you would like to receive a refund, we understand the financial strain some families are under.
All refund requests must be made by June 22nd.
