Summer Distance Training: Running Has No Off Season!

Kids Elite Summer Distance Training is designed to provide an intense running and endurance program for serious youth and young adult athletes that wish to build a strong aerobic base for their upcoming fall sports season. This training program is most appropriate for cross-country runners, soccer players, lacrosse players, and other athletes competing in the fall season who wish to increase overall endurance and conditioning. The program consists of four workouts per week for five weeks during the summer. Elementary through post-collegiate athletes are encouraged to participate. Athletes are grouped according to ability and experience for each workout, ensuring that all athletes gain significant advantage during their upcoming competition season.
July 6th - August 8th
Tuesday (7-8:30am) , Thursday “under the lights” (8-10pm), Saturday (8-10am), Sunday (6-8pm)
$125 per athlete (includes Under Armour swag item)
- Tuesday mornings: Rock Creek Park -- Picnic Area 6. If you are traveling east on Military Road, pass St. John’s (on your left) and go through the Glover/Oregon Road light. Take the Ross/Beach Drive Exit. As Ross and Beach split, follow Beach Drive. Make a left at the stop sign onto Beach Drive (away from the police station & Carter Baron) and it will be your first picnic area to the left
Thursday evenings: Wilson High School track
- Saturday mornings: Rock Creek Park Picnic Area 13 across Military Road from St. Johns HS (2607 Military Road NW, Chevy Chase DC 20015) If you are traveling East on Military Road, you will pass St. Johns on your left, and the first light you come to make a right onto Glover Road. Then, make your first right into that picnic area.
Sunday evenings: on The Mall (meet up point at 15th & Constitution--downtown DC)
